2. 100% On-Device Processing
No Cloud. No Servers. Absolute Privacy.
Unlike typical communicators, Flash Morse operates entirely offline. All core functions, including Morse code encoding, camera-based brightness decoding, voice inputs, and communication history logs, are processed locally on your physical device. We do not host servers, compile analytics, or collect databases of your transmissions.
3. Device Permissions Utilized
To execute its features as a light-based communicator, the app requests the following specific permissions:
Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA)
Usage: The camera stream is utilized exclusively to measure ambient light fluctuations via the camera lens (using our brightness analysis algorithm) to decode flashing Morse code pulses in real-time.
Protection: The app does not capture, store, or transmit video recordings or images. The visual data is processed in temporary memory frames, analyzed, and instantly discarded.
Audio Record Permission (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO)
Usage: Required only if you use the microphone dictation feature (Voice-to-Morse) to speak messages instead of typing them.
Protection: Speech recognition is conducted locally on your device using Android system APIs. No audio clips or voice profiles are stored, compiled, or uploaded to any third party.
4. Data Security
Since no personal data or communication history is ever transmitted off your device, it remains as secure as your physical device. Any saved history logs are stored inside the application's private sandbox storage and can be deleted by you at any time using the in-app history clearing buttons.
